NSW Goalball has a rich tradition of providing superior opportunities for all players, both sighted and vision impaired, to participate in our training sessions and monthly competitions across our HUBs statewide.
Training Sessions
Weekly sessions for Sydney Metro, Hunter and Tamworth/New England HUBs will begin March 2026.
Each affiliate HUB with NSW Goalball independently operates and hosts local trainings and competitions. Please reach out to the below hub coordinators for more information if you are interested in attending training sessions in our Regional HUBs:

Social Competitions - Sydney City & DTM Cup
The Sydney City Cup and Dimitrios Tsoukalidis Memorial (DTM) Cup are two separate social competitions, broken into half-day round-robin games. The SCC is focused on advanced players over the age of 16, and the DTM Cup is for those under 16 or more developmental players to come together and compete in randomly drawn teams.
- Sydney City Cup - experienced players with a medium to high degree of skill (16 years+)
- Dimitrios Tsoukalidis Memorial (DTM) Cup - new or inexperienced players (16 years and under + developing players)
The DTM cup was named after one of our incredibly generous and caring NSW Goalball Referees and Volunteers - Dimitrios "Jim" Tsoukalidis. Jim gave over 20 years of his life to our wonderful sport as a referee and an administrator but also always loved helping the new players, youth and junior players to grow and learn in a supportive environment.
Jim's memory now lives on in our sport where we continue to celebrate his memory with our monthly social competition, a concept he was very proud to be a part of.
