Event information

This event has passed.
Come on down to Asquith Girls High School and try Goalball Sat 2nd March 11 - 2pm
Goalball is sport for all abilities, but designed for the vision impaired. Every player must wear blackout eyeshades which will completely remove their vision. You are know reliant on all your other senses to figure out where the belled ball is, how fast it is coming where it is coming from and where it is going too. All in the time it takes for the ball to travel the 18m long court. You'll face off in teams of up to 6, with only 3 on court at a time, working together to defend a massive 9m wide goal. Communication is key, along with team work so you can create a moving wall of players to keep that ball out. Sounds easy, right? don't forget, you can't see a thing.
All ages are welcome, vision impaired, living with blindness, or 20/20 vision and anywhere in between, come on down, jump on court and experience something new. People who do fall in love with the sport.
