PARALYMPICS

Federal Politicians were  assigned Paralympic sports to support the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games, Mr. Mal Brought (MP QLD) and Senator John Faulkner (NSW) were  supporting Goalball.

In an attempt to increase public awareness and to build relationships with Australian Paralympians, Politicians were  urged to attend training camps and to build up a rapport with their new 'families'.

The Paralympic Games ran from Wednesday the 18th of October through to Sunday the 29th of October,2000. 

 
The Sydney 2000 Paralympic Goalball teams were:


Men:
Rob Cristani, Kevin Few, Paul Harper, Troy King, Warren Lawton and Robbie Voigt. -Coach Sam Theodore, Asst Coach R. Apps


Women:
Penny Bennett, Kerrie-Ann King, Jo Ruba and Robyn Stephens. - Coach Terry Kenaghan
